Over the next few decades, Caseley found his business supplying tents to anything from weddings to events as large as Cavendish Beach Music Festival. He found a supplier, bought a tent, and saw the potential for a secondary business. “That conversation propelled us to investigate,” said Caseley. We should open a wedding shop.”Ī year later, Caseley's Bridal Boutique, located on Blue Shank Road, was born.Ĭlose to a decade later, Caseley’s wife mentioned an offhand conservation with a bride in search of a tent for her wedding. “I said, oh, we should start something up at home, that you don’t have to travel back and forth,” said Caseley. In 1984, Caseley was a fresh business graduate his wife worked at the hospital in Charlottetown. That fall, Caseley started to consider the idea of selling. In fall 2022, though, Caseley began to think about selling to give himself time to heal. “But it’s a funny feeling.” Following the death of his son and business partner, Jamie Caseley, Greg Caseley hoped to continue running Caseley’s Tent and Party Rentals in his memory. Continuing the legacyĪlthough the death was tough for the family, Caseley wished to continue running the business – to continue Jamie’s legacy. Jamie, said Caseley, was beloved by clients and employees alike. “‘Come back whenever you want.’”Ĭaseley remembers his son not just as his general manager, but as a passionate person who did “one hell of a job.” “I said ‘OK, you have a job,’” said Caseley. to help with Caseley’s Tent and Party Rentals. – ContributedĮven after going to university and getting a business degree, it wasn’t long before he called his father. Ever since he was a kid, Jamie Caseley helped his father with his business, Caseley’s Tent and Party Rentals. He had a way of putting people at ease.”Įver since he was a kid, Jamie enthusiastically helped his father with the business. “For the short life he had, he impacted people. He could’ve definitely had a wonderful impact on people’s lives if he had a longer life,” said Caseley. In October 2021, Jamie was diagnosed with a rare cancer he died in December of that year. For many years, Caseley ran his business alongside his son, Jamie.
